Weekly Drill 7 - UCO Stormproof Matches

Update Again!

I have been meaning to try Marmoset Toolbag for rendering since I have seen so many amazing projects on The Rookies that use it and I finally downloaded it today. I took it for a test drive using the latest weekly drill and really loved the result. I used all the same textures I had in Maya/Arnold and it turned out so much better (though that could be because mis-connected nodes in Hypershade?).

Either way, I am excited to learn more about Marmoset and how to use it and wanted to share the difference between the two renders!

Update! (May 21, 2020)

I am posting an updated image because I realized I had hidden the ridge of the match holder (for the cap to screw on) and hadn't applied the normal map to the matches. I also felt like the I original cap was too perfectly placed with a vertical logo. Here is my actual final image 😅
