Round of applause for our sponsors

I realized that art was a way to express myself, and I was happy to look into 3D as well as 2D art.

1st year of university I attended a game arts course and found that I could combine my love for creating characters and concepts with 3D techniques which could be used for video games which I had a passion for playing.

Since high school I always wanted to enter the creative industry. I have animated for 4 years and I would love to work as an animator and a concept artist.

My earliest memories are watching my siblings pass around a controller, hunched over the Gamecube...then a Wii..Nintendo DS and a Playstation. Games have shaped pretty much my whole life so it was a no brainer when deciding what I wanted to do!

I've always had a love for video games and art in general as many people do however I never knew creating 3D environments was an actual job or career path. During my studies at the University of Arts London, I was made aware of the Game Arts pathway the software was extremely daunting and my first experience was with Uvs so naturally, I brushed it aside. However, after another class, I was able to experiment and get lost in the software and I instantly became passionate.

First time when I saw Craig Mullins, and all the concept art on Artstation, I was shocked. All my digital art style trends to it after that. While studying in my uni, I start expanding my own work to commercial goods and product packaging, I am now ready to go further more.

After the first time, I saw the concept of Metaverse and multi-universe, I realised that there is the possibility that we can actually make our universe on our own hands, it's not restricted, completely free space just for our imaginations. The first step to take was to enter the Virtual reality and Mixed reality industry two years ago.

Back in 7th grade, my personal project was a very basic 3D Unity game which was my first experience working on a game. That experience caused me to look deeper into the field and eventually cement my decision to study games design.

I was always invested in video games, and always loved to see them develop from even a young age, and I always enjoyed drawing as a kid, but now I can see it as a job, and something I absolutely love doing. Especially with 3D, it gives us much more of an outlet to develop different combinations of media. My focus started becoming more refined in secondary school, and I took a BTEC in Games Design for A-Levels before moving onto UAL, where I am studying full-time, and continuing to learn!

I have always loved finding new and unique ways to utilise Virtual Reality in immersive media and it has always been a dream of mine to design immersive stories using new technology. I initially studied Interactive design during my bachelors degree where it wasnt until my third year that i could try VR in 2018 and this pushed me to pursue a career in this path in the future.

I found out that I'm pretty good at creative things when I was in Uni.

I was major in spatial design. On my graduation project, I decided to try something new in my field that has fascinated me for a long time, which is to build a virtual world with creativity and ambition. At the time I realise that creative media is what I longing for, where I always find my passion and can be an idealist to create props, characters, environments with my imagination and keep challange the possibility.

In my second year at University.

I have always been creative but hadn't found anything I thought I would enjoy to do as a job full time. I have been studying BA Production Arts for Screen at Wimbledon College of Arts UAL and am becoming more and more passionate about VFX and Art Direction.

I became interested in the industry while at university and wanted to learn more about it after being exposed to it in a number of projects during my university years, so I came to London College of Art to continue my studies in depth.

I have always wanted to work in creative and entertainment industry. I started my course in costume design knowing that I wanted to work creatively in entertainment and storytelling. On my course I have dedicated this year to learning to design digital on a verity of software. But I have found myself tending much more to character design and concept art.

Having been interested in telling stories for as long as I can remember, I've been exploring the world of creative media from a very early age - and being kind of a tech nerd I'm especially interested in seeing where the worlds of art and technology meet, pushing their respective boundaries and hoping to tell stories that people might want to hear.

I am a 2019 postgraduate from UAL, a Chinese who studied in Uk for 4 years.I got I am a person who deeply influenced by films and animations during the growing up. When I was a child, animators use their drawings to built a world for me, let me to learnt about friendship, family love and how to be brave from that visual world. Then I decide to learn illustration and animation, I eager to illustrate the moving story to the children and the youth, and be a part of their happy growth memories.

I've loved video games since primary school and always dreamed of being one of the creators contributing to this field.

When I was younger, I was always more interested in drawing, movies, music and acting. I would put on shows for family and watch repeats of animated movies over any other media. Growing up with the birth of CGI Animated movies and television took me by the grasp and has never let go. I prefer animation over live action any day and now that I'm older, I want to give back and be behind some of the movies other children and adults will be watching and loving.

I knew I wanted to work in the world of animation when I was 9 years old, growing up with How to Train Your Dragon, Paperman, and Brother Bear were all films that excited me and urged me to start the craft. The movement of 3D animation has always amazed me and therefore has been something I have been perfecting my craft in for the past many years.
