I have a 2d art background as hobbyist and studying in media and screen major in college. after 2 years in college I find out I'm not satisfied with the expression traditional media can give. So I just transfer to animation major in college at my junior year. A bit of late, but try to catch up.

Growing up in South Africa has given me a different perspective on nature, as animals and creatures have always inspired me. My work is often infused with touches of my identity, with a photorealistic focus. When I took a computer science class in high school, I realized that I could combine my technical skills with my creative passion and become a creative technologist. I was a creative technologies intern at Universal Pictures, where I started pursuing Virtual Production.

I had played a lot of video games throughout high school, and whenever I was asked what I wanted to study in college I always had the feeling that I wanted to do something related to games. I was also very interested in some of the computer science classes I took, and I was lucky enough to find a major that gave me the best of both worlds.

I found out that I wanted to pursue 3D after learning that it was something that I couldn't put down. Unlike other career paths, 3D art was something that I always enjoyed learning more about and making in my free time. I want to enter the industry because not only is it my passion to create 3D art, but it is something I can see doing for the rest of my life.

Ever since I was a kid I loved all things animation. I first realized I want to work in this industry when I watched Slam Dunk on TV in the 90s.

Freshman year of high school

I first realized I wanted to make character art for visual entertainment when I found my attention fixated on the visual aspects of characters, like the intricacies of Aloy's clothing in Horizon Zero Dawn, and the bright colors of LittleBigPlanet's creatures. It felt only natural to combine my passions for art and games when deciding what to study in college.

After Halo 3 came out, I knew I wanted to make games. Being able to immerse a player into a brand new world is always exciting.
