I've have been some what artistic growing up, but really neglected the talent. I wasn't seriously into art until years later when I was starting to transition out of the military. During that chapter in my life, I was becoming super depressed and turned to playing a lot of Destiny. After a while, I really started to feel that "want" to better my artistic skills and get into creating things for games. About a year after being out of the military I decieded to take that dive into digital art.

The first time I realized that I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry is when I took my first 3D animation class in high school.

A love of film and story telling for me starts with picking up the book, Behind the Scenes or perhaps it was making of... the empire strikes back, in the 90s as a kid at a library where my Mom encouraged me to find a book to read while she studied her own books and interests. This was the only thing star wars I saw, and while the complexity of the text was a bit beyond me, the pictures where inspiring in a age before the Internet was so common and necessary with things like YouTubes to show us.

Taking the tour of my school. seeing the process of sculpting a character in 3D instantly got me hooked.

5 years ago when I first came to the U.S

I first realized I wanted to work in creative media when I was 5 watching Star Wars with my dad.

I had a realization that i wanted to do Fx when i saw the first Iron Man in 2008. I didn't act on it because there are always people around you influencing you to play safe than heading on directly on what you wanted to do, so i enrolled in something closer to it and something that made sense at the time, that would maybe help me pursue my goal which was working in the Entertainment Industry and it surely did! Here i am living in a day and age where a mere code can change the whole ordeal.

I was fresh out of the military and I always curious on how vfx was made so i decided to go to school and fell in love with it.

I always loved traditional painting, and slowly began to see how my skills could translate to a career. Films were the first to inspire me, and then I became a gamer. I love the technical skills combined with creative artistry, and I love that it's a shared experience.

After transitioning from the military, my original plans to move to Japan as a network engineer was thwarted by the global pandemic. Instead, I made my way to Los Angeles and stayed with a long-time friend; while taking a break from tech I decided that pursuing art felt more meaningful to me than what I was previously working on and have been learning digital art forms since.

It started as a simple hobby when I was a teenager, and I became passionate about how VFX works and brings magic to the movies

When I was in High school I too a took a class and that when i was introduce to Autodesk maya

I wanted to work in this industry since last year I saw this music video in full 3d. I wanted to make short films with 3d objects because I wanted to make my plot as non-earth places.

I first realized I want to be part of this industry when I was watching Star Wars as a kid. I fell in love with movies and decided that I wanted to be part of their creation.

I have been consuming media for as long as I can remember (like most people nowadays I guess). My Uncle helped raise me when I was younger because my mom was a single mom and he was a director/editor for indie films in the PNW so I was exposed to alot of filmmaking from him at a young age. My mom is also a professional video editor and has been having me help her with projects since I was in Middle School. To answer the question... I guess it was just in my blood from the start!

Hello, I have always had that dream of being a storyboard artist and 2d animator for Walt Disney Animation Company. Since I was in middle school all I ever did was create stories and draw characters.

I have always wanted to create worlds and had this wild imagination but was always turned away from being creative. Then came a time I needed to go to school but was lost at what I wanted. Then I started to attend school and the drive of what I want was found.

When I felt passionate about the artistic approach I saw in animated feature films

I first realized I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry when I started streaming on twitch in 2015. I had always been into graphics art and sketching, allowing me to explore a greater reach of like-minded people. This turned into a passion of me going to school for digital film and then learning how to become a 3-D artist for visual effects in cinema.

I've always had a passion for art and three years ago I took the leap to start learning everything I could about it.

I have been a professional wedding filmmaker and photographer from New York since 2010. When the pandemic began, the entire wedding industry fell apart, and I was without any jobs for quite a while. While in quarantine in April 2020, I discovered Blender, and my life is forever changed. I began to learn all that I could about Visual effects, taking over 3 months to create my first sci-fi short film with friends, leading me to go back to school with LAFS for VFX and environment design.

Ever since I was a Sophomore in high school. What started off as a little spark of interest in film, grew into a burning passion for everything about the entertainment industry.
