Round of applause for our sponsors

When I finished highschool, I enrolled in the bachelor Devine. This had some fun things but eventually was not for me. I have friends where I game with a lot and that's how my interest for this industry kept building and building. Eventually I started experimenting with some 3d software and loved it, so then the deciscion was made to enroll into Digital Arts and Entertainment.

After some 4 years of studying sciences in highschool, I realised that I could not see myself doing it as a job. So, because I already enjoyed playing games so much, I decided I would give it a go, and I have been loving every single day of it.

I grew up in a family that loves working with arts and crafts. I started by drawing then after completing my year of preparatory class in applied arts I chose to get into 3D. This field has always fascinated me, I wish one day to make people dream as I was made to dream myself as a child.

At a very young age, I've always been inspired by the behind the scenes and making of certain games & films. This brought me towards DAE in Kortrijk where I now learn the art fundamentals for creating art inside games.

Games allow endless creative possibilities.

Since I was in highschool

I've always been interested in animated movies and video games and I've always been fascinated by how they were made. But while I was playing The Last Of Us Part 1 I felt like this is what I want to do with my life. So following that path and actually enrolling in college for Game Graphics Production truly has been a dream come true.

The moment I realized that the pursuit of a creative career might be a suitable option for me was when I started to receive compliments and appreciation from my peers and instructors in my early school days. Therefore, I embarked on a journey in fine arts and slowly transitioned into the digital scene via a story-boarding position at an animation studio.

While I was a kid, I was always busy crafting, and in school, I preferred art classes over my theoretical classes. Therefore, I pursued art schools, and I never regretted it. I excelled in practical subjects and had a stronger interest in them. Consequently, I decided to pursue art further at university. It was there that I discovered the possibility of working on games as an artist and found a university program that piqued my interest.

In my last year of high school, I made my first game for my integrated test. This made me fall in love with game development.

When i was little and i realised i like to play stratedgic game and the thought behind these games.

After working in hospital IT for a few years after doing a one year education, i came to the conclusion that it was nothing for me. In my free time i had been plaing alot of boardgames, and i started designing my own prototypes for boardgames. Having saved enough money, i decided to go back to school to persue my passion for game design

When I was 10, I knew I wanted a career which allowed me to pour in my creativity. My hobbies have always included creating something and I have the fondest memories playing video games with the people I care about. When looking at the end credits, I knew I wanted my name in there as well.

I was always creative and I love games.

This was a proces of being interested in art but never quite realising I could actually make a living with it. Eventually someone I know studies at DAE and because I loved gaming. I also strongly believed games can be art, so I wanted to make me some art.

After finishing high school, I was unsure about where to go and what my goals are. However, I've been sitting in my little goblin cave drawing day and night through my high school years, which made me kinda curious: Maybe I should do something creative and not try to get into medicine studies...

I've always enjoyed playing games, and like to work creatively. Combine these and you get the creative gaming industry.

When I worked a part-time job when searching what route I wanted to take in life.

I found my interest in the game industry when I started playing video games.

Ever since I was 7 years old, I've been messing around with video footage on my parent's computer. Editing our holiday trips into short documentaries, interviewing family members for my made-up game show,... I made my first "movie" when I was 10, it was called 00Jim, featuring my baby brother as a James Bond variant. I am now almost graduating as a VFX artist and I am still just as excited about working on movies as I was when I was a kid.

All my life I've been doing creative stuff like drawing, painting, playing music, .. But only recently after working in an engineering job for a year I realized that I would be most happy working in the creative industry.
