Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
When I was young, I loved the visual beauty of films and the intriguing stories they tell. I also enjoyed the immersion in games like World of Warcraft, and how they tell stories in a very different way. When I found the opportunity to study game development as an artist, I decided to learn everything about both.
I decided this was the best career choice for me around the time I realised I enjoyed painting and sketching more than I enjoyed working on any of the other subjects in school. But it's only once I started studying Visual Arts at Breda University that I fully committed to the idea of becoming a concept artist and developed my love for it.
I have pretty much known I wanted a job in the creative media industry since high school. I pursued that dream and am now in my 3rd year in a Games visual arts course doing 3D animation. My dream started off with me wanting to draw and animate in 2D then I discovered the creative but more technical fields that the industry has to offer and evolved as I learned new skills.
I always had a passion for drawing and wanted to pursue a creative job, but only halfway through high school, I started working towards it as a career. I started my studies in graphic design and then decided to enroll at Breda University of Applied Sciences. Here I focused in my second year on character art for Games and currently in my third year on concept art. I always loved good stories and my goal is to produce content that can inspire other people by integrating great narrative in designs.
I knew I wanted to pursue animation since I was 12 when my parents enrolled me in this small animation course in my home country. Since then I've been super passionate about 3D animation in movies and dreamed of working at DreamWorks one day. With time, dreams became goals and with them, I broadened my animation opportunities and became curious and open to game industry.
When I was 10, my mother had explained to me that computers work based on sequences of 0 and 1, and I was amazed that something as simple as that could power the incredible adventures I experienced in my video games. Suddenly I wanted to know more about computers. At the same time, since I was in kindergarten I loved drawing and all sorts of creative activities. In my heart I always knew I wanted to work in video games, they enclose all my passions and values.
