Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I have always loved to work in creative mediums, especially digital ones; From a young age I have always loved to make stick figure animations and create novel character concepts. Now, I have a refined character animation skillset and have worked on both video games and short films. Additionally, I have extensive generalist skillset encompassing all aspects of game & animated film production pipelines, such as concept art, modeling/sculpting, rigging, look development, and visual effects.
Since I was small, maybe before I was 6 years old. I have this one specific memory of me and my sisters, my parents, and my grandparents in a room watching Dumbo on VHS. I remember both being entranced in the movie, and when I looked over saw that everyone else was as well. It was like magic how it emotionally moved us, made us laugh and cry. I want to make that kind of magic.
I realized it the moment I was old enough to able to take the remote control and navigate towards the Behind the Scenes/Extra Features of DVD's. I was dedicated to watching the storyboards develop, and the way the artists would effortlessly put characters onto paper and convey movement and emotion. It was the only thing I wanted to do. I wanted to be able to draw like that, quickly and beautifully. Pre-Production and visual development is simply where my heart locked in.
It was after completing Xenoblade Chronicles 1, I felt compelled to be in a huge beautiful open world that inspired me. I wasn't sure whether to pursue 2D or 3D as a career but after taking a 3D class back in 2017, I realized I want to feel more passionate about my career by going into 3D while also implementing it into games as I love playing video games. I still enjoy doing 2D art as a hobby on the side.
Ever since I was young I was born to a generation that was heavy on media consumption whether it was from the internet, music, & especially video games. Seeing all these different outlets exposed me to creativity from all over the world influenced me express my creative vision and see how I too can make a life out of it. That's how I eventually came to peruse a career in game dev.
I've always wanted to step into the realm of game development, but I was never really sure what skills I could bring to the table. Eventually, I realized that game devs need organization and structure, the same way any other business does to be successful. As soon as I recognized that, I never looked back; it's been a wild ride, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
