High School year 11

I had an interest in video editing when I was in secondary school, that interest drove me to enrol in a multimedia design course. During my time in uni, I was exposed to multiple mediums for creative media. Ironically, I lost interest in filming and video editing while in uni. Instead, I developed a passion for 3D, ideation and concept visualisation. I love to solve problems via creative thinking, that's what made me realise I wanted to work in creative media.

A few years back I started noticing and enjoying VFX in films more; I'd also been re-kindling my art skills, and when I watched a friend doing some 3D modelling it all clicked for me. Since then I've had a passion for photoreal CGI, and the novelty of incorporating it into filmed footage has not worn off for me. I strive to continually improve my skills, primarily modelling and texturing.

I've always had a passion for creativity in its various forms; music, artwork, writing etc. I loved and continue to love various ways of taking ideas from my head and putting them into a form that others could also understand. At school I was invested in traditional photorealistic pencil drawings up until the point I was first exposed to digital 3D in high school. Since then I’ve been pursuing my passion in digital 3D.

I realised I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry after starting my degree in Bachelor of Animation and seeing firsthand the creative potential that is possible with today's technology.

I once thought it was amazing that I could create my own videos of my pet guinea pigs when I was 9. Now, I can see how far my creativity can go, and absolutely enjoy every bit of it.
