Round of applause for our sponsors

I have always had a deep desire to be an artist, but I knew I wanted to create art that others could interact with. I thought about doing animation and decided I was up for the challenge, then began studying a Bachelor's of 3D Animation & VFX. It has been a really enjoyable challenge and I can see progress with each project that I work on.

I came over a general diploma within 3D and animation in Norway in 2016, and it sounded interesting and tied in with my own interests, so i applied. After 6 months of studying I was completely sold. I decided to pursue further education after getting my diploma and moved to New Zealand to attend Media Design school .

Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to make and be part of the film industry. I’ve been quite lucky and that I’ve grown up surrounded by many talented people at Weta. They’ve taught me how to draw and think creativity. And as a result, I’m on the path to learning to be an animator

I realized in Highschool, I had a massive passion for acting, film, and drawing (I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil). The possibilities and never-ending ideas of the field excited me so I followed my dreams and am now studying 3D animation and VFX.

Since I was in elementary school, I have loved making things with my hands, and I find it attractive to create things with my own hands. Also, I always have to have what I want because I am greedy. But sometimes there is something I can't have for any reason, and the advantage of being able to make and keep it in 3D is why I'm doing this.

I have always had a passion for making things. When I got to university I decided I'd try game development and learnt environment art for Unreal. After I graduated I switched over to film VFX and am now studying to become a TD in a film pipeline.

Since I was a child, always wanted to be part of the team who makes the movies. It was when I went to high school that I realised it wasn't just a dream. I needed to start building my career and make the first step to reach the goal. I'm enjoying so much how far I am getting better, earning more skills with the media and feeling ready to start showing my work to get to know me and meet all the fellows that are sharing this VFX journey with me.

from a young age I was always fascinated by movies like Shrek, as I got older the fascination turned into a passion for 3D especially rigging

I knew I wanted to be a part of film when I was a 5 year old watching The Lord of The Rings on my parents vcr. Seeing Weta bring Gollum to life in their behind the scenes clips, I knew I wanted to forever involved with the crazy world of film and vfx.

Playing games as a child, I always thought it was the best job in the world. Only in the last 4 years did I realise it wasn't a far fetched dream; that there is a pathway available so I leaped at the chance! Many games were lacking that little bit extra for me and my friends so we would discuss if this game just had these extra mechanics or was tweaked a little more it would be perfect for us to play forever. Taking this career path means I can make that perfect game for the world to enjoy.

I've been always interested in design and love creating things since I was a five-year old. I took Graphic Design and realized that I have to develop my skills, not only in 2D, but also in 3D. Therefore I took 3D Animation and VFX to add my design knowledge.

In 2014 I have an idea to do something visually so I decided to change my industry from a Java programmer to film industry.

I first realized I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry when I saw the show FLCL and other action shows like it and thought it'd be cool if I could do that too. I got my start trying to copy the sprites and animating style of games like Blazblue.

At a young age I knew I wanted to make video games however I was always unsure as to what avenue I would branch into to get there. At 24 I took my second course in Digital Creativity and found a passion for 3D modelling and technical art.

Ever since I was a child, I had always been very interested in the entertainment industry. The idea of creating things that would make people happy, laugh or cry was astounding to me and it inspired me to write, draw, model and animate my ideas into something that can be seen by others.

Since I got my 2 year diploma of 3D and animation in Norway, I decided it wasn't enough. Afterwards I moved to distant New Zealand, and am currently working on my soon to be finished Bachelors of Game Art at Media Design School. I am a good all rounder knowing how to wear many hats. I specializes as a prop, and environment- artist (Maya), but I'm also familiar with rigging and animation (3DS Max).

I am a BIG FAN of KUNG FU PANDA!

When I was a child, the most thing I watched is not cartoon and kids shows, it's VFX films. I was so excited when I first realize that there actually have jobs which can participate in making films. So after that, I keep observing and in the end, I decided to be an animator.

Once I saw Toy Story 2 in theaters....I was hooked on 3D Animation ever since. I love CGI, seeing the amazing detail on Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War made me fall in love with it even more

My Journey began in 2015 when I stepped my foot to get an education where it developed my skills, knowledge and grew as an individual. I have passions for modeling, sculpting, UI / website design, and surfacing, and I enjoy both the technical and creative aspects that the industry entails. It's very interesting how the industry is always changing and you will never work on the same thing every day!

In high school I was really into traditional art and digital art, so when I was told from a class mate about Media Design School, I was super excited and determined to get in maily because I had three days left to apply. I put together my best work and I got in. To me that was when I really wanted to be in this industry.

Since I realised there was such a large hole in the games industry for educational and therapeutic experiences
