Flame Rider

When I imagine of Kombi vans I think of a slow-paced vehicle that I despise trying to overtake as I'm trying to get to where I need to be. I wanted to see if I could change the narrative up in this way, so I decided to look at flames to convey speed as well as other elements that could put this narrative across.

I began by going onto Photoshop and starting to make a mood board of all things that I am thinking about adding to my Kombi

I started to develop on the VW logo and the side the colours and flames that I wanted to include. When I was working on the flames on the side I wanted to focus on it conveying a sort of graffiti vibe, I did that by making it look rough.

After doing this texture challenge I have found a new love for substance and the capabilities that it has to increase your work, I'm looking forward to the next task to improve my skills in substance.

I have loved seeing all the other pieces that people have created and can't wait to go again.
