Its all in the Eyes

It's all in the Eyes is a short film created by Mary Blume, a recent graduate from The School of Visual arts. Mary graduated from the Computer art and Visual FX department with a BFA. It’s all in the Eyes is her thesis film. Mary created this film over a two year time period which included one year of pre-production to create the story and design the film. She worked on every aspect of the film from writing and storyboarding to modeling, lighting and rendering.

The film It’s all in the Eyes follows the story of a young boy who has gone to a hotel for a night with his mother. In his boredom he discovers a secret hallway that he wanders down, but something is amiss in this hotel. You’ll have to watch to find out.

These are the character design sheets I created during pre-production for the film. These were created after lots of time spent with references, shape exploration, and design exercises.
