Embody a violinist and awaken a gigantic, forsaken world in this highly poetic platformer! Using your violin and bow, move towards the core of the realm to understand your role in this universe and play the best Concerto!

Symphonia is a solo-player student game developed for PC and Nintendo Switch platforms during the 2019-2020 school year.

Symphonia is born as a student graduating video game, in ISART Digital Paris, from a common will from the team members to create a platformer that would be both an elegant and tight game.

We chose to make our main character, named Philemon, a bird-like violinist, with black and white colors, and equipped with a violin and its bow.

Philemon uses his violin bow to stick and propel himself from upholstered surfaces, and to bounce on the ground.

In specific rooms, Philemon plays a violin solo to progressively awake the realm of Symphonia, changing his environment and waking up peculiar automatons.

We decided to combine 2D and 3D visuals to give more depth to our universe. Check out those piano hammers!

We made a sober yet impactful UI, mixing Art Nouveau shapes with musical themed symbols.

Here is our WIP trailer:
