The environment I had created as part of my MA in Games Art and Design at the University of Hertfordshire. I had to produce a single render of an environment that tells the viewer a story in 4 weeks. My goal was to recreate a concept and showcase my spin of an idea of an old, worn-out cruise ship in the arctic waters.

For my practice at University of Hertfordshire, MA Games Art and Design course, I had to produce a single render of an environment that tells the viewer a story in 4 weeks of time. My goal was to recreate a similar environment render as in Eric Gagnon Batman Arkham Origins concept (artstation.com/artwork/OyY21k).
The environment idea is that an old, tattered cruise ship is now used for cheap, unsafe travel between two continents. The ship travels through arctic waters, when the storm hits it. The purpose of this project was to get out of my comfort zone, push my skills, learn new workflows and to get a deeper knowledge of Unreal Engine 4. The main tools used to build the assets where: Maya, Substance Painter, as well as Cable Actor in the Unreal Engine 4.

There are a few assets where I used Megascan materials and Substance share textures made by Allegorithmic (the floor, and the ice in the background).
