Environments that tells stories.

Here I wanted to tell a story about a really messy person. Someone that doesn't leave the desk too often. Someone that might be a bit lonely. Here he sits all day and just works.

Even though I didn't have a set deadline for this I always set a deadline for myself so this scene was made in 3 weeks.

Environments that convey feelings.

Here you'll see two scene that I've made.

The city scene was also made before I started studying and was done in around 5 weeks but then refreshed during an lighting course in school.

Here I wanted to convey 2 feelings: unsafe/unease and the other is the feeling of being safe. I did this with adding a lot of contrast and a lot of dirt. The streets are messy and are less controlled. While the other image shows safety/community with warm colors and very lit. You can also see the windows glow showing life.

The forest scene was made during a 4-5 weeks course at FutureGames where we was encouraged to tackle foliage and natural environments. The feeling I wanted to convey here is isolation and lonelyness. A place without any real community tucked in the corner of the forest.  But I also wanted to convey peace. A peaceful place where one can live without any real restrictions.
