Cheryl Okonkwo 2d Animation Entry
This is my entry for the 2d animation category. I like to experiment with the aesthetics of the animated medium and combine traditional animation with surreal and sometimes photorealistic assets. The interaction of these disparate elements really tends to compliment each other and can make for some interesting results.
Build Your Buddy is a short film that I made over the course of 48 hours. Once I was given the theme, I started throwing in a bunch of ideas and techniques that I've been wanting to try out. I'm very about what I was able to make in that limited amount of time.
This is my third-year film Vanishing Act. I made this in one semester, and my main focus with the film was to push surreal elements with the background, storytelling, and character designs.
This is a demo reel for fall 2019. It shows some of my best work up until that point.
