For each project I do I'm learning new skills. I'm trying to learn as much as possible to create a whole universe one day. Here I proudly present my student projects. I hope you'll enjoy them.

Round of applause for our sponsors

Hello, My name is Helena, I'm in 2nd year of CGI animation and special effects in ESMA Lyon and I'm proud to present my 2020 Rookies Award entry.

1 ) THE CREATOWER

One of my favourite project was a facade. I've worked on it from the concept art stage to the composited version. I wanted to show the History of creativity with a funny cartoony aspect representing the important eras of History.

1st is the modeling and lighting step

2nd is the texturing step, adding a ground and grass

3rd is a composited version, pushed very far from the original concept to see where I could take it to have a different aspect.

2 ) THE MAGICAL SQUIRREL WITH LONG EARS

For this project I learnt grooming. Again I did it from concept art to texturing. I wanted to do something simple, a stylised squirrel trying to catch a snowflake.

Here are the modeling/lighting, grooming and texturing steps.

3) THE IRIDESCENT BARK MANTIS

Here I wanted to do an iridescent bark mantis on a tree branch, nothing extravagant. I learnt sculpting for this project.

Here are the modeling, lighting/ sculpting and texturing steps.

4) THE MEDIEVAL STAINED GLASS WORKSHOP

Here is the first big project i've done, a stained glass workshop of a heretic man, working on illegal stuff at night. Unfortunately one night, he was discovered.....

It was a very intersting project as I met with a real stained glass artist to learn more about the process. I've done it from concept art to composited version. Here are the final ones.
