Round of applause for our sponsors

#1. The Hotel del Salto

This is my artistic interpretation of the abandoned Hotel Del Salto located in Colombia. I aimed at presenting it as a horror environment since the hotel is rumored to be haunted due to the number of people who died falling off the cliff-side.

Primary Reference: used to establish the goal for my project's mood and appearance

Additional Reference: used to gain a more detailed look at the geometry and materials

#2. Broken Down Camaro

Through this project I sought to showcase my knowledge of mechanics that I have gained through years of working on/restoring classic cars. This piece is meant to represent what a Chevy Camaro would look like when it was first released in 1967. This specific car has accrued sand and dirt from driving through the desert and eventually breaking down.

References: In order to gain a proper idea of what a 1967 Camaro originally looked like, I referenced it's original advertisements. I also looked at a variety of engine compartments since they are typically modified by those who own them.

#3. Solarpunk Hanging Bed

This bed is meant to represent the esthetic of solarpunk, which revolves around the premise of a futuristic humanity where man has learned grow and develop alongside nature rather then against it. This piece depicts that relationship by having the man-made bed that is suspended by real plant vines that feature a bioluminescent lamp.

References: the supporting vines and wood structure are meant to emulate the shape of bed curtains in a naturalistic way. However, because it is a hanging bed the role of the posts and curtains are reversed. The vine "curtains" are what supports the posts of the bed.
