Hi everyone, I’m excited to share with you a trailer that I created using Unreal Engine. The trailer is inspired by the TV series Foundation and an article by NASA about Kepler-186f. This was a test run for my new upcoming project, which will explore the themes of science fiction, space exploration, and human destiny.

The trailer that I produced for my new upcoming project was inspired by the TV series ‘Foundation’ and by an article published by NASA about Kepler-186f, an Earth-like planet located in the habitable zone of another star. My new project will explore different themes of science fiction.

Reference Gathering:

In gathering references for my project, I primarily drew inspiration from the first Star Trek movie. I was particularly fascinated by the visual effect depicted when the starship launches into warp, traveling faster than light. To recreate this mesmerizing effect, I utilized Unreal Engine 5. Additionally, I incorporated references from actual footage of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch. This footage provided valuable insight into how space looks from a camera's perspective, enhancing the authenticity of the visual effects in my project.

Sound Design and Edit:

For the sound design, I incorporated audio clips from the TV series Foundation. I used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and integrate these clips into the video, ensuring they complemented the visual effects seamlessly.

Inspiration and Appearance:

Kepler-186f is the first Earth-size planet discovered in the potentially 'habitable zone' around another star, where liquid water could exist on the planet's surface. Its star is much cooler and redder than our Sun. If plant life does exist on a planet like Kepler-186f, its photosynthesis could have been influenced by the star's red-wavelength photons, making for a color palette that's very different than the greens on Earth. This discovery was made by Kepler, NASA's planet hunting telescope
