Veins | Nuke Compositing Project

                               VEINS

This is a full Nuke Compositing project in which I tried to achieve a similar result as the one that Geralt of Rivia has in the Netflix series The Witcher. 

                                        VEINS BREAKDOWN

As it can be seen in the Breakdown video, the main passes are the scar cleanup, the eyes replacement, the facial and general color correction and the integration and animation of the veins. 

This last pass has been the hardest one to achieve due to the fact that the original footage used for it was a simple png image. At first the veins were just put on top of the face following its movement, but after a few versions the decision to make them look as realistic as possible was made. It was then that a combination of both layers with different color parameters and bump maps was done.

The veins animation has been done with multiple masks so that they are born and start to appear form the main and stronger vein. Up next you'll be able to see the png image used for the creation of every vein on the project.
