RESTAURANT DESIGN — Kabuki Japanese Restaurant

'To artfully extend the distinctive elements of Kabuki makeup, incorporating its unique colors and lines into the space, in order to create a striking impact, presenting an environment with a visually stunning effect.'

‘Intersection of Sentiment’

Kabuki is a traditional Japanese theatrical form that originated in the early 17th century, blending dance, music and drama. Known for its intense theatricality, male actors portray various roles, and it’s distinguished by elaborate makeup, contributing to its unique artistic charm. Regarding the kumadori (makeup of Kabuki performers), the direction of the lines in the makeup is carefully crafted to highlight the facial expressions and character traits of the performers. These lines intersect and overlap, forming intricate and layered patterns that enhance the dramatic nature of the stage performance. Contour variations, achieved through changes in the thickness, depth and shape of the lines, sculpt the facial structure and ambiance of different characters, adding a unique artistic charm to Kabuki performances.

'To create a warm and cozy space with interesting design, applying warm tone of furniture and finishes at the same time letting their working moment become more interesting. '

'Irregular and Diverse' 

New is come from NeueHouse's "Neue", which represents the new way of working style or working mode. Creating different form of area in the co-working space giving the freedom for people to choose their most favorite working way in the moment. To make the working way more ‘new’, the space is designed with the transition from space to another, giving an element of surprise through going into different transition. This is expressed through medium such as staircase, ladder, ramp and slides, which separates different space but still above to link them together.

WORKPLACE DESIGN — Netflix

'To create an interesting workplace with furniture with contrasting colours and materials to avoid a boring work environment.'

'Coincide'

Netflix movies & TV shows feature its logo at the beginning, it quickly flows in an N-shaped direction each time & scatters into many neon lines until all the lines disappear, which is very impressive. It's lengthened according to the logo's flow & has been simplify into straight lines & slanted lines. Then, according to the duplication, it looks like several flat planes placing together uniformly, it's converted to a 3D vision & slightly curved to make it looks less sharp.
