Zeppelin and Stylized House
Hi, I am María, an aspiring Environment Artist, and these are my two projects. One of them made entirely by myself without any resources, and the other one made during my studies at Animum. I have learnt a lot during this process and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.
This project was a big step for me creatively. It was the first time I tried making something completely from scratch, without using any references. It was inspired by the Steampunk style, but I wanted to give it a more elegant twist.
I started by sketching out the basic shapes in Maya, then I refined them bit by bit. Next, I used ZBrush to add all the small details that make the design interesting. For the colors and textures, I had fun experimenting with Substance Painter and Quixel Mixer.
To make everything look as real as possible, I used Arnold for rendering. Finally, I used Unreal Engine (in which I am self-taught) to bring everything together, making a cinematic and creating visual effects using Niagara.
This second project was my final piece during my time at Animum Creative Advanced School. Taking inspiration from the talented "B Min Lee," I recreated their reference using Maya, Substance Painter, and Arnold Render. Then, to really highlight the details, I turned to Marmoset to craft a dynamic turntable animation.
