Promise Me I’ll Leave

Short film originally made for the 2024 edition of the Nikon Film Festival in France. The theme was 'the Fire'.

Initially, we first planned to avoid VFX. But considering the shooting location, and the lighter which is an important part of the story, we needed to consider it as a tool for the story. And that is probably what I enjoyed the most: VFX serving the story.

I used Houdini and Karma, tracked with Syntheyes, and composited in Nuke.
Since I was also in charge of the editing and color grading, some shots were composed in DaVinci Fusion's page. Mostly cleaning (fire alarm, lights, cables, posters...).
