Inca Atahualpa and Realistic Elephant
Two works I made in college. My first ever Human Character and my first ever approach of realism in an animal
Inca Atahualpa - The Last Incan Emperor
Last year in 2023 , in my 4th semester of BVA of Animation and Multimedia in my college which is Asian Institute of Design, it was assigned to me do to 2 models, one bipedal and quadruped, it was not required to be realistic models but it has to be a character worked with all the workflows I was teach in the class, like sculpting in Zbrush, texturing it in 3D Substance Painter and finally learn how to render it in Maya Arnold or Marmoset Toolbag.
After consulting and researching, i found appropiate to showcase a known character from my Latin American culture, specifically from the area of Bolivia and Peru, the Incan Empire, and the most known character in that history is the Inca Atahualpa, the last Incan emperor before the Spanish came and changed the course of history of Latin America.
I was trying to search if a 3D model was done previously, it was not mandatory for me to do a human character but it could be anything, my heart wanted a human so I decided to work on it, starting now with my first ever character modeling AND human model ever.
This the reference images I used:
Semi Realistic Human Inca Atahualpa, last Incan emperor.
First ever human model I made.
Model around 35k+ vertex. Using 4K textures
Sculpted in Zbrush, Retopolized in Maya and textured in 3D Subtance Painter!
Here is the final renders I made:
This is the Marmoset Viewer file, in case you wanna see the topology, because of the 25mb limit I only packed the low rest textures, down below i will put the texture maps:
Realistic Elephant
