The idea here was to choose any 2D concept of a character and turn it into 3D. I didn't hesitate long when I saw the beautiful illustrations of GianLuca Ku Garofalo
I mixed the look and the pose of the two drawings
The first step was to sculpt the character's face in Zbrush, trying to keep the proportions as close to the concept as possible.
Subsurface is a key element when it comes to realistic skin shading. First comes the derma map, (which is a creepy thing to do), then the epidermis, and finally mixing the two
