'' The boy and The Rain God'' , is based on my own original story and world inspired by Burmese culture, done during the amazing Mentorship of Drew Hartel
The story synopsis
'' Once there was a lush village in the mountains that thrive upon rain and nature but one day the land was cursed into a huge drought and things started falling apart .The villagers started praying and begging as usual to the Rain god(a deity full of oneself that controls rain and weather and sat upon the heaven's ark) . But nothing seems changed so one day a boy ,of an ill father with desperate need to save his land and family , recalled an old tale about ''traveling to the heaven's ark and gifting the god a cow bring back rain and prosperity''. Without any insurance that the tale might be true or not he set out on this impossible journey with his cow to confront the Rain God''
The Village
The place where our protagonist was born and raised . Showing the hustle and bustle of village life, making the place more lush and lived in to constrast it with the dreadful place it found itself in after the drought hits! The Departure
A vis-dev painting showing the moment just before the boy leave his home to bring back rain to his village. The house interior was carefully crafted to show case the tactile and handmade nature with a rich history of the family and their dependency on rain.
