MeetMat3 Concept Opis 1921

I'm delighted to present the Matphone Opis 1921! 

As you can see, the entire MeetMat was made on substance painter! However, I did need a few alphas, without which it wouldn't have been possible, particularly for the facial flourishes, which I cut out and recreated using photoshop. 

Only 1 day to go, but I'm happy to be able to present you with the final version of the MeetMat Opis 1921 model C! All that's left is to make some clean renderings with lighting worthy of the name, and we'll be good to go.

The few details that were missing to give it its detective's office style are there! So we have little matches that are scattered around and a photo of a couple, an unsolved investigation perhaps... 

I really must hurry... This little guy has changed a lot in just a few days!

After consulting the people around me, we found that his body was too flat and lacked something because of the uniform texture of wood.

The hollows in his tummy made it impossible to add the wire because of the height, so the basic idea was to remove the wire but well... it was a good idea and it was good that he was appearing for the telephone side.

So I made a few adjustments, to start with the hollows disappeared to allow the wire to reappear!

Then I wanted to give it a bit more life and a bit more story, so I came up with the idea of a telephone that could be on a detective's desk in the 40s and 50s. So we're going to find some cigarettes lying around as well as traces of coffee and even a newspaper about current affairs that's stuck in the Meet Mat's wire belt. 

Oh yes, and the embellishments that were missing from his head are starting to appear ... 

Yeah, I didn't do much intermediate rendering .

Wow, only 4 days to go and I realise that I didn't have the right cameras for my project...

The Opis 1921 is back, and this time in texture! He's still missing a few details like those little embellishments on his face (which I'm going to have to redo in alpha... help!) or the wire that connects the earpiece to the phone base.

His body looks a bit empty because of the old varnished wood texture that's uniform all over his body, but I've got an idea of what could add a bit of life to it, so I haven't got much time left to boost it, but I'll do my best!
