Environment and Character Collection
Here is a collection of some of my recent projects. I have an interest in character and environment modeling, and I have been attending CG Spectrum to help me improve.
Tipsy Toadstool
This is my first big project I did on my own outside of school. I wanted to do some sort of bar scene and I liked the idea of a tavern in a cavern, so I put it inside a cave. The Tipsy Toadstool, owned and run by two frog brothers, is tucked away in an underground lake surrounded by a mushroom forest.
I used Maya for all of my models. For the more detailed ones, I blocked them out in Maya, then took them to Zbrush for smoothing and smaller details. Then, I took them back to Maya to retopologize and add UVs, and finally to Substance Painter for baking and texturing.
I used pictures of caves and underground lakes for inspiration. Blackreach from Skyrim was also on my mind while creating this scene. My characters are based off of Eastern Green Toads.
Engineering Bay
My second project is an assignment from CG Spectrum. I was provided with reference images to create a sci-fi scene with a character to go with it. All of the modeling was done in Maya and textured in Substance Painter.
To the Moon
This project was my first CG Spectrum assignment. I was provided some concept drawings for this character and props. It was also done with Maya and Substance Painter.
