I present the two final projects that I realise during the advanced master of environments and Props at Voxel School

Old Church

These environments are a combination of the new version of the church that I realised in my superior studios and the concept art of Aleksey Sheludchenko. In this environment, I learned how to make both wall and floor modules, especially for the ceiling with the arches modules. Realice in Unreal Engine 5, searching for a realistic videogame look.

The planning for this project started to search for a reference to the old church interior, what objects are inside?, and What is the architecture of the old Roman church. I put all ideas and references in a Pureref. In 3ds Max I did the blocking before moving the project to Unreal Engine.

I used props and textures from Megascans Library for better results, with Mixer modifying some textures and creating some Trims  for the carpet, ceiling and arches. I create a module for floor, ceiling, walls and arch. I made the carpet in 3ds Max and moved it to Marvelous to give the shape of the altar steps and create wrinkles.

To give it an older and more realistic look I used a decal from Meganscan. Create a system of dust particles, and used the volumetric fog for created a ``god ray´´, the principal light of this scene. The other Lights are produced by the torches that are placed in the church, and a little light is provided by the candles.

For the fire´s torches, I used a vfx from Unreal marketplace and the fire of the candle is a sequence of png images placed on a plane

Finally, the short video that I created.

Old Piano

This model is based on a real piano, adding localized damage in areas that normally have more wear or can be hit and grazed. The software that I used are 3ds Max, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Marmoset Toolbag.
