Round of applause for our sponsors

Hello again! I'm Borja Flores, and over the past few months, I've been immersed in the world of 3D art, specifically focusing on environment design and production. I'm thrilled to present my submissions for the "Rokiee Awards 2023."

In the Architectural Visualization category, I would like to showcase a previous project that was previously presented in a different category during the last edition, but in my opinion, it didn't quite fit there. This still life composition forms a meticulously crafted image intended to evoke uncertainty and mystery among viewers. In this image, I blend my expertise in modeling, lighting, and rendering to achieve the displayed outcome.

As we can see in these images, there were several changes throughout the modeling process regarding the chosen composition. In my opinion, a well-executed composition is the key to capturing the viewer's attention and evoking emotions.

Before arriving at the final image, the process continued with the framed view and the focus set on the central vase. This vase was textured using Substance Painter and modeled in Zbrush.

As for the fabric, it was initially created in Marvelous Designer and further enhanced in Substance Designer, resulting in a tileable material that can be applied to various types of fabric.

This type of still life is primarily inspired by my artistic interests in painting and ceramics. The project consists of multiple images presented below. However, I would like the focus to be on the one presented at the beginning, as the rest are a derivation of the former. Just like a painting, it captures a moment frozen in time, reflected in this seemingly inert nature that conceals great mystery and uncertainty.

To conclude this submission, I would like to end with a series of exterior renders inspired by the works of architect Dionisio González. Remodeling his buildings has been a significant challenge to tackle, and integrating them into scenes with forests and lighting has been an exciting yet quite laborious process. For these images, 3ds Max Studio and V-Ray have been used as the rendering engine. I hope you enjoy them!
