Self-taught modeler. Thank you for organizing this contest, seeing everyone's amazing art is so inspiring. I'm excited about all the things I do not know yet! Modeled and textured in Blender, the weathered effect in photoshop (before and after photos provided).

Round of applause for our sponsors

Hi all! I am a self-taught modeler, and started learning Blender 3 months ago! So far it's been like drinking water from a firehose! There is so much that I don't know and I'm so excited about all the things I get to learn

Looking forward to entering again next year : )

This mask took two full days. This was a big opportunity for me to mix hard and sculpted surfaces, and took multiple iteration,. I considered how it was actually assembled and its materiality. It was such fun.

Modeled and textured in Blender, the weathered effect in photoshop (before and after photos provided).

Using direct lessons from previous lackluster renders, I dove right back in to some off-planet habitat ideas.

I tried to consider the player's point of view, giving them an idea to be curious about where the light at the exit of the cave was coming from, as well as a path to get there.

The rest of this is a rewind to my very first projects in Blender to show progress.

First attempt on a habitat unit for Mars, where I learned the lessons to do better on the second attempt!

First project inside Blender! I chose to work on a simple panel so I could easily compare it with others and have a standard I was aiming for.

Second project, first time learning a sim and sculpting  @ bed. I combined my first panel with this corridor, and added a flashlight for quick fun and mood.
