Modeling and Look Development 2023
A collection of some of the modeling and look development work I've done in 2023.
Magician Character
Responsible for model and textures. Concept by Lily on Artstaion https://www.artstation.com/challenges/medieval-back-and-forth/categories/169/submissions/74425
The goal with this character was to create a character from the modeling to the look development stage. It was a project where I learned a lot about texturing and creating a cohesive character language.
Zari Sari Material
Responsible for all aspects
This project was my first material created in Substance Designer. The material is inspired by silk saris with zari embroidery. These saris are commonly worn for important events in India.
Stylized Xgen Groom
Responsible for UVs, texturing and Xgen groom. Model is Matilda by Leon Sooi_Xiong Li
This groom was a one week project created to learn grooming in Xgen. For this one, I wanted to create a more stylized groom and textures.
Kombi Van textures
Responsible for textures. Model by Christina Ryan
These textures are based on Indian truck decorations. I wanted the textures to look like they had been painted on a toy Volkswagon by someone who was customizing the toy as a gift for a friend.
Dragon Plush Groom
Responsible for textures and groom. Model is by Julia Boisvert https://juliaboisvert.myportfolio.com/summer-industry-course-in-progress
This was a project to practice using the interactive groom in Maya. Even though the original model is very cleanly made, I wanted the textures to make it look like an older, homemade toy.
Indian Throne Room
Responsible for all aspects
This was a concept for an Indian throne room that I made for a class at SCAD. This was a short project and the models, textures and lighting were all done in two weeks. The project was inspired by ancient India throne rooms and the game of chausar.
