Strayfurther - 2D Animated Concept trailer for an Adventure/Fantasy Comic

This was a solo project, and while I didn't finish it to the level I envisioned, I'm still pleased with the progress  I've made and what I've learned from working on this project! 

Animated in TVPaint, and comped in After Effects. Music by Oliver Jennings.

This concept follows the adventures of several characters, set in a land called the Shallow Isles, where the history of humankind has been lost, and all that remains are relics of technology that no longer work under the laws of the universe they now reside in.  Amidst all the plucky young adventurers scrambling to find the secret truth of their land, is a kid who embarks on a search to find meaning in the time they have left.
