Physiotherapy is a healthcare specialty that uses exercise, manual therapy, and other techniques to help patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and restore function to their bodies. Physiotherapy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, including injuries, chronic pain, neurological disorders, and orthopaedic conditions.

People often seek out the services of a physiotherapist after suffering an injury. Even if the body appears to be functioning correctly with no significant pain or weakness, there may still be underlying issues that could manifest as problems in the future. Physiotherapy can help to identify issues and work with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals. However, physiotherapy treatment costs can range from 80 ringgit to 200 ringgit per session in Malaysia, and some treatments might need more than 1 or two visits back to the therapist to finish the treatment. People from poor backgrounds would not have the financial capability to receive these physical benefits or able to travel far for treatment.

PhysiU app aims to solve these issues by working with physiotherapists who are willing to help these patients as their sideline, by providing personalized treatment plan to the patients through an mobile app. In PhysiU app, users can carry out self-diagnosis and receive personalized treatment plans that catered to their specific injuries. Besides, the app provides pain tracking that allows physiotherapists to track individual patient’s pain progress and video demonstration for patients to follow along when they carry out their treatment. For poor financial communities, the app allows appointment bookings from government hospitals or private clinics that volunteers to provide free treatments. Users can check out their treatment plans, track their pain and book appointments with physiotherapists in one app. With PhysiU app, it aims to provide physical therapy to everyone, without worrying about traveling and paying for the treatment.
