Outlast is an American survival reality TV show set in the Alaskan wilderness. In this high-stakes competition, 16 players are divided into teams, tasked with surviving off the land with limited supplies and no rules. Winning at all costs is the ultimate goal, challenging the players to collaborate rather than go solo.
This project explores the intriguing world of wilderness survival games, revealing a spectrum of colors within each player's personality under extreme circumstances. With a God's-eye view provided by reality TV, viewers gain insights into camp dynamics and inner struggles. The packaging design aims to capture the intensity, raw emotions, and unpredictability of the "Outlast" experience. Join us as we dive into the unknown, celebrating the resilience of the human spirit in the face of unforeseen challenges.
The trailer will follow the main visual direction of the Setouchi Triennale 2022 designed by Kenya Hara, focusing on the elderly islander’s daily life and the in-situ artworks created in response to the local environment. This trailer tries to emphasize the differences between Setouchi Triennale and other art festivals: ferries, bicycles, and the world-famous Sanuki Udon. It aims to send out a very bright message to the world from Japan, a nation of the elderly, and connect people with art.

This project demonstrates the mood swings when I'm working. It usually starts out ambitious, then slackens off. And then as the deadline approaches, I would re-organize everything, and eventually finish the project on time.
