Digital Asset Creation for VFX
This is my CGI work that includes renders of vehicles, characters and scenes.
Vehicle Renders
These cars where modelled and rendered as personal projects and fueled by a passion for cars and motorsport.
The Ford GT40 was a first attempt into creating digital vehicle models and the challenges involved with it. It was modeled in Maya and rendered in Blender with Cycles.
Next was the Koenigsegg CC8S was next and vastly improved on the mistakes made with the GT40.
The Ford Escort MK1 was created and animated for the Endless Engines Render challenge and was another improvement on the last model and render.
Visualization and Look Dev Render
Still life render created for a university project. It was created to show look dev skills in a photorealistic scene. Substance was used to create the materials and it was Rendered in Maya using Arnold.
The Scene went through multiple stages and variations of placement and composition of the objects to create a more interesting final piece.
Each object had custom materials made in substance with extra attention on photorealism.
WW1 Soldier Model
This model was created as part of a WW1 film project and was incorporated into a shot film about the Battle of the Somme. It was created using Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer and Substance painter. The character creation process was new and a lot was learnt while creating this character.
The model was also rigged in blender for animation.
Conclusion:
These projects have been completed during my time at university. I hope to improve on my skills in my final year. In future I would like to focus on the vehicle rendering, as well as writing and directing a film.
