The hallway serves as a link between the entrance and the central social area, open to all users, including elderly individuals with age-related impairments, staff, and family members accompanying the elderly. It serves as an interactive device with nature, arousing visitors' interest, and stimulating the auditory senses to encourage elderly individuals to perceive the space.

Bird Watch Area

The space features a bird watch area that serves as a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces, inviting elderly individuals to engage with nature while enjoying the activity of bird watching. This dedicated area provides a comfortable and accessible space for them to observe birds in their natural habitat. The design of the bird watch area incorporates features that attract birds, such as bird feeders and bird baths, to encourage frequent visits from a variety of avian species. By creating an environment that supports the presence of birds, the area becomes an enticing spot for elderly individuals to spend time and interact with nature.

Enclosed Garden

The plant beds in the building are intentionally elevated to ensure accessibility for elderly individuals who use wheelchairs. This design feature allows them to comfortably reach and engage with the plants, fostering a sense of involvement and enabling them to participate in gardening activities. 

In addition, the irrigation waterscape serves a dual purpose by providing a means for the elderly to engage in exercise while watering the plants. The design incorporates elements that promote physical activity, such as strategically placed handles or levers, allowing individuals to perform light exercises while irrigating the plants. This arrangement encourages mobility and offers an opportunity for the elderly to engage in gentle exercise, promoting their overall well-being.

By incorporating these thoughtful design elements, the building aims to create an inclusive and interactive environment that considers the needs and abilities of elderly individuals, providing them with meaningful opportunities for engagement and physical activity.

Game Room

To enhance socialization and cater to diverse user preferences, the building offers a range of activities suitable for different levels of physical exertion. From low-impact exercises to high-impact workouts, individuals can choose activities that suit their abilities and fitness goals. Additionally, there are options like card games, darts, Wii sports, and dance mats, providing engaging opportunities for leisure and entertainment.

Recognizing the importance of fostering a sense of community, the space adopts a family-style layout that encourages elderly individuals to gather and sit together. This arrangement promotes social interaction and creates a welcoming environment where people can connect, share stories, and forge meaningful relationships. By incorporating these features, the space strives to offer a holistic and inclusive experience that caters to the diverse needs and interests of its visitors.

Landmark Fountain

In the heart of the building stands a notable fountain that serves as an auditory guide, aiding visitors in navigating the space and avoiding any potential confusion. This feature proves especially beneficial for older adults who may require assistance in finding their way around. The fountain emits sounds that help individuals orient themselves and follow the designated paths, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable experience within the building.

Lounge

The lounge area connects the hallway and landmark fountain, gradually encouraging more social interaction in the center.
