Léo Serre's Rookie award 2023 entry

I'll begin my entry with a project I made for a community contest by Peter Straubel. I decided to make one of his Inktober in 3D.

I sculpted everything in Zbrush then went on Substance Painter to texture it.

Here is the final raw render made using Arnold.

For the final render I tried to stick to the original concept except as much as I could using some painted lines in the textures and the outlines from a Toon Shader render from Arnold.

For my second project I would like to introduce you to one of ESMA's classic project: The Insect. Here is my take with a Lucanus Cervus.

It was rendered using Renderman and composited on nuke.

For my last project on this entry I would like to showcase one of my older personal project: The red princess. I still like it, it was one of my first real 3D project. I did everything on it from the concept to the final compositing.

I think I'll rework it with my newer knowledge to fix the few things that I missed at the time and update the overall quality with my new skills.
