"Virtual Religion" Fashion Film
A Digital fashion collection
"Virtual Religion" Fashion Film
"Virtual Religion" holds significant meaning to me. This project represents a collection that blends digital and physical fashion, offering designs in both virtual and real garments for customers. It is an ongoing project, and more designs will be released soon.
The inspiration for "Virtual Religion" stems from the Chinese term "spiritual realm," coined by the esteemed Chinese scholar, Mr. Qian Xuesen, who associated the "virtual world" with profound wisdom. These ideas motivated me to utilize the concept of "religion" to comprehend the virtual world. The virtual world has deepened the connections between individuals, information, and objects, demonstrating the intangible yet potent force of this new domain. Through fashion design, my intention is to articulate these connections and express a sense of power
The entire collection was created using CLO, C4D, and Mixamo, with Octane as the rendering engine. The production process involved creating virtual garment patterns in CLO after the design drafts were completed and dressing virtual models with them. CLO effectively simulates the fit of clothing on the upper body. After finalizing the designs, the models were imported into Mixamo for motion capture, followed by importing the fabric simulation effects from CLO and creating scenes and lighting in C4D. It was a highly interesting process.
