Game Characters
Hi! I love creating art with a ton of story and personality, and hopefully my entry showcases that 🙆♀️ All of my pieces were made during the portfolio course at The Game Assembly.
Robot Sisters
These are two game ready robots that I made as my first portfolio piece. They are sisters 👩👧 Presented in Unreal Engine 5.
This was made as a collaboration with a level designer who wanted two different third person characters to use in his game project. I helped with the brainstorming for the backstory of the characters and then sculpted, modeled, rigged and textured the characters to be used in Unreal Engine.
I created a custom shader for the vcr screens in Unreal which has pixellation, banding and flickering; and the faces blink by swapping out the textures.
I also had fun with making pony tail physics for the big sister!
I had a ton of fun making the clothes for the two robots in Marvelous Designer!
Here's a full playthrough of the game where the robots are implemented! Props to Eliott Holmqvist for his amazing level design.
Spooked Fireman
I really wanted to create a protagonist for a realistic horror game 👨🚒. My inspiration was to create someone who feels likeable but also kind of a mess who has no idea what they're doing or how they ended up in this haunted place.
I sculpted the face in Zbrush, created the clothes in Marvelous Designer and created hair splines in Xgen. The helmet is my grandfather's old fireman helmet which I scanned in myself and then implemented as a nanite in Unreal!
So happy the scan of my grandfather's old firefighter helmet got implemented successfully into Unreal.
Inky Cap
This is a stylized sculpt based off this amazing concept by Mathias Osland: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ELk9xv
I had a ton of fun trying to bring this concept into 3d, and really try to portray the personalities of the main character and her mushroom dudes. 🍄
The original goal was to make this character game ready but due to time constraints I ended up with just creating a high poly. Sculpted and polypainted in Zbrush and presented in Marmoset Toolbag!
