Sophomore Year - 3D Animation Work
Hi! This is a collection of my best work from my sophomore year at Ringling College of Art and Design. It was incredibly rewarding and I can't wait to grow even more in the coming years. Responsible for all aspects, including modeling, texturing, rigging and animating.
Car Trouble
For my final project of sophomore year, we were asked to create a fun short that incorporated a character sitting and standing in whatever context we chose. I decided to depict my character, a young mechanic called Trix, during one of the many inevitable mishaps that occur in her workshop.
Here's a quick breakdown of the first shot; from final compositing in Nuke, to a maya playblast view.
Here's a turnaround of Trix herself! (Responsible for texturing, modeling and rigging.)
Jerome The Turtle
The final for my first semester of sophomore year required me to create a simple character with no arms and animate a short using it. And thus, Jerome the Turtle was born.
Once again here's a quick turnaround of Jerome showcasing his textures, modeling and geometry.
Since the background had so much foliage and several high poly-count objects, I used a lot of compositing to achieve my intended look. Here's some planning and then a process slideshow of how I achieved it.
Thank you for stopping by!
