Dieselpunk Environment
Hello! Im glad to present my entry for this year with the projects I worked on during this past months for my masters degree in video game art final project at Universal Art School (Valencia). I had a great time creating and developing this project, Hope you like it!
DIESELPUNK ENVIRONMENT
For Dieselpunk Environment, I wanted to create a post-war/post-apocalyptical world, this with the objective to challenge myself into making a more complex level than my previous ones, so as making this project a space of awareness and reflection about the consequences of war.
The main Challenge, of course, was to set the look and feel of a destroyed city (lighting, post-process, fog, decals, wear, etc), but the most difficult task of all this was the destroyed assets. I tried many techniques in order to fracture some thing like the ground (Houdini, CHAOS, and digital sculpting).
In the other part, I also wanted to "tell a story", so I thought of making my shots more narrative and cinematic. I had a great time doing this project, hope you like it!

DIESELGEWEHR WEAPON
Based on the Dieselgewehr weapon on "Wolfenstein The New Colossus". I did the blocking/Lp and Uvs in maya. I did some digital sculpting for the leather bag at the back part. I did a leather mat using substance designer and the rest of the model was texturized on substance painter.
Keiler Tank
This tank was inspired by Wolfenstein Franchise Keiler tank. I did all the hard surface modeling and uvs in Autodesk maya. I also did a quick rig setup for the animation shown in the cinematic. This was fully texturized using substance painter.
