Play as a tiny, adorable, bouncy strawberry looking to escape from a traditional bakery. Using kitchen utensils and cake toppings, climb giant, delicious cakes and pastries as you bounce your way towards freedom: the window.

While experimenting with physics-based action games, we focused on the underused mechanics of bouncing. We wanted to make it a fully-fledged experience, accessible without losing the 'toy' aspect of the genre. In the context of a 3D platformer, we chose an insect character, traversing a giant natural terrain, very uneven and conducive to level creation. The insect-centric universe soon got in the way of the project's intended mainstream direction, and early in the development, a new universe was sought, in order to move away from phobias limiting the reach and scope of the game. For its variety of substances that could be used as platforms, the context of baking was adopted, which we thought to be more universal and original. Thus began the life of Bouncy Berry.
