Bring a Skateboard to the Knife Fight 

A skater dude rolls up to an alleyway knife fight and quickly realises that he left his knife at home. He instead uses his skateboard to hold his own in an action packed fight scene.

Concept Development and 3D Assets 

During the character design stage, I found it helpful to draw the skater dude in motion to see how the design would look, and if the gesture was reading right. Through my instructor's helpful feedback, I was able to find a style that would work in the animatic format.

With the different angles I wanted to include in the fight scenes, the best option was to create the environment in 3D. After learning the Blender software, I made sure to include set pieces that had the potential for the characters to interact with (and for cool skateboard tricks of course).
