Frigid Beginnings
Hi my name is Scott Chun Tie and I'm a recent graduate of the Dynamic Effects and Lighting course offered through the University of South Australia. This is a collection of a few projects from my past few years.
Frigid Beginnings
Frigid beginnings is a project based around Japanese Torii gates which symbolise the crossing from the real into something sacred. This was my first project created in Houdini. It's called Frigid Beginnings as it was made after 6 weeks of learning Houdini from scratch, for a total of 13 weeks Houdini experience at the time of completion. This was created as part of my Dynamic Effects and Lighting Course.
Quixel models for the lanterns, grass and trees were used. They were brought in, integrated and simulated by me in Houdini.
I made a simple Torii gate tool which I could use to generate gate models. I could adjust the height, width and a few other aspects of the model to give me flexibility when creating the scene.
The Unknown Path
This project was created a few years ago in Blender. Inspired by God of War, I wanted to create a scene that visually directed the eye along it's path.
The Throne
This was my first ever project in Unreal Engine 4. It was created in my first year of university. I wanted to create a scene inspired by Diablo. This was using a modular modelling approach and was my first exposure to modelling and creating scenes.
