Forced entry
This is the demoreel I have been working the last months. Hope you enjoy it.
These the best projects that I did during my year in Fx Barcelona Film School. Each of them have been made in aproximately 3 weeks with Houdini, Redshift and Nuke. This has been my first year doing 3D seriously and for sure it has been a long year so I'm glad to being able to share my projects.
Most of the used models and textures are from Adobe Bridge or Sketchfab and the animations of the crowds and the alien from Mixamo.
Forced entry
The simulation is based on three pyro simulations: two of them generated from the door and one explosion. The challenge in this projects was the slow motion because it required a large amount of substeps that increased the baking time.
Savanna life
The model in this case was provided from the school. The animal’s fur was divided in different parts so that all of them were simulated in exception of the general part that comprehends the shortest hair.
Military camp
The main objective was to create a crowd simulation that made the camp feel alive. The crowds are guided by curves but most important, they are able to walk around the camp avoiding the numerous obstacles but also the trucks.
Rising ship
The flip simulation was affected by forces such as the wind and a noise in the velocity created by the ship. Once the particles were cached, it started the process of meshing and combining the flat tank with the extended ocean.
Alien
The main idea was to archive an alien getting out of an amniotic sack. This was archived using vellum. The main issue was the lack of thickness of the sack that worked as a collider in the slime simulation.
