Round of applause for our sponsors

An Assortment of my best weapon models. Including a Battle Rifle (Halo Infinite), TTI Pit Viper (John Wick), Combat Knife, Bolter (Warhammer 40k). Some of these weapons were created for projects at The Academy of Art University, some of them were not. I learned a lot from creating these weapons and refined my workflow every step of the way. Each successful project was completed faster than the previous one, and resulted in cleaner, more efficient topology. The most recent model completed in this showcase was the Combat knife, and it had been completed as a fully textured and game-ready asset in 9 hours. Many of the materials used in this project were included in the Ultimate Gun and Weapon Smart Materials pack by Javad Rajabzade on Artstation.

The Halo Battle Rifle is the first of these weapons that I completed. It is based on the design from Halo Infinite. It was the final project for one of my 3d modeling classes at The Academy of Art University. I had only about four weeks to model it, and it is a fairly complex model. After the semester was over, I found the time to texture it. The topology is a bit messy, and the textures are not as detailed as the other weapons in this showcase, but I think it adds a lot to the project. It also shows how much my workflow has improved.

The Warhammer 40k Bolter Rifle is my favorite of this whole showcase. It was so fun to make and is the closest thing to a stylized design within this showcase. I worked on this piece much more efficiently, and was able to complete it in about half the time as the Battle Rifle. It is also much more detailed and topologically efficient thanks to the baked mesh maps and smart materials. It was awarded runner up for 3d Prop Modeling in the 2023 Spring Show at the Academy of Art University. https://2023springshow.academyart.edu/schools/game-development/students/gunnar-lenberg/

The Pit Viper handgun was created for the film: John Wick Chapter 4. Immediately after watching the film, I wanted to model this gun. It's design is very striking, and quite complex. It was fun to learn all of the moving parts in this thing, and it wasn't hard, because the manufacturer has detailed images of the weapon on their website. Needless to say, this is the most accurate gun that I have ever created. I love the way it looks.

The Combat Knife is my most recent piece. I thought that it would add a lot to this showcase. It isn't as complex as the other weapons, but fits in with them just fine. I think the surface bakes and materials look the best out of all of these weapons. It may not be my favorite piece, but it is definitely my most efficient and professional piece.
