Krush Cars Concept Art
Currently in 2nd year Game artist at Game Academy. Here is Krush Cars which is a 2D dossier on a potential future game strongly inspired by Mario Kart and Team Sonic Racing, in a vintage cartoon art direction from the 30s, in a Cup Head style. This project was carried out individually in two weeks.
First, I started with a sketch of 12 characters with their associated vehicle. Each character has been researched on several different themes in order to have variety.
I selected 3 of the 12 characters, I detailed them with their kart and I gave them an attitude.
Then I selected Willy Bag which is one of the 3 chosen characters. I made a turn around of this character and his vehicle in order to make them visible in their entirety.
I assigned him several skills, so that he can have a preview of gameplay for a potential integration in game.
Then I finish on a splash art of the character in action.
