Emma Salettis - Concept 2023

The Cabin :

Here is the final concept of my montain cabin based on a character created by Matheus Henrique.

I did a lot of environment and color testing to show the adventurous, warm but mysterious side of the characters living in this cabin. The aim was to convey the protagonist's personality in 3 shots, through his habitat.

Then, we had to create and animate these shots in 3D.

Eddy's adventures :

For this project, I had to depict a protagonist's living space. I wanted to make the place warm and comfortable, despite its noticeable clutter and poverty.

The research and color bases were done on Paint tool sai, and the textures on Photoshop.

Eddy is the protagonist's pet.

 I wanted to show the nervous side of this animal, a little excited and vicious to survive in this dystopian universe. I did some styling variations to find the one that would suit the living environment.

I had to work on the design of the squirrel so that I could create it in 3D afterwards.

Antonio Carbuccio

Antonio has been designed to match the world of the film Luca. His character is warm, greedy and relaxed. I went through several chef variations before finding the one that would work best.

I also sculpted the character to see if his design worked in 3D.

Eau de Moi

Alejandro is a model for a perfume advert: Eau de Moi. He is a character from a very short 3D film made for my third year at ESMA. He's a charming, egocentric, pretentious and passionate man. 

Alejandro shouldn't appear overly romantic, but should have a relaxed, seductive attitude. He's very confident in his physical attractiveness.

I created the concepts for the short film, depicting the "romantic" evening between the two characters on a barge in Paris. There's a disconnect between the glamorous atmosphere and the characters' attitude. In fact, it's a parody of a perfume advert.

Kitty

Judith is a young London actress in the 50s, and Jerry a stray cat who brings bad luck. I wanted to show the chaotic relationship between them.

Some design tests that could be adapted to a 3D animated comedy.

The characters have been designed to be adapted for 3D animation, making them accessible to a young audience.
