Oni Mask Project
I did the base model with Maya and the sculpt with Zbrush. I painted the textures (roughness, normals, specular and albedo) with Substance Painter and rendered with Pixar's Renderman ; I ended up adding some composited details for the final result in Procreate! Oni mask Project
I wanted to create a prop that would still involve some kind of face sculpt as I was very fond of it when I decided to make this project ; the choice of a mask seemed ideal !
Onis are demons in the japanese folklores ; I always loved how they look, especially their very exaggerated facial features.
Here is my take on the oni mask !
