On this prop I tried to be faithful to the concept in terms of shapes, for the texturing it was the opportunity for me to try a new stylization.

Because I fell in love with the concept, it was really fun to work on.

This diorama is based on the concept of Luc de Haan. My main work here was to stylized it, I made all shapes more exaggerated, more curved and more distorted. I also created a shady texturing.

This project helped me to reinterpret a concept in a different style which was very interesting.

There were a few steps during the production. I had some difficulties to create the other sides with the same coherence with the concept. At the beginning the shapes were too much stylized, then I reworked it for something more acurate.

In this diorama, giant seaweeds and corals cohabit freely within the dunes surrounding a lost lighthouse in a sea desert.

This diorama is an individual project that I started from scratch. I really wanted to try a comic style, my main references were Moebius, Aseyn and the video game Sable.

The idea was to take the sea environment and turn it into a sandy desert. All around of the lighthouse and the fisher'shouse, both of vegetation and rocks are inspired of the sea weeds in the deep ocean.

It made me work on more technical aspects for the rendering. Postprocess materials create the outline, ambient and cellshading effects in my diorama, and there are some little tricks for the blending of colors.

I wanted a polaroid look for my renders with a bit of grain and with a particular format. It reinforces the idea that a wanderer visited this lighthouse and took pictures.

There were many researches before I found the good shapes of the lighthouse, being my landmark I priorized my effort on it. As you can see, I first made some sketches on paper, then I clean them in photoshop to work on the colors.

This project had a first version with a lighthouse less recognizable and with too many colors, it was going in the wrong direction, so I restarted it from stratch.
